Thermal Observation Manikin (TOM^TM)

This series of manikins can be called thermal comfort manikins. They are designed for thermal analysis work in the design of climate control systems and confined workspaces, such as, cockpits or vehicles. Due to the highly transient and heterogeneous temperature distribution in vehicle interiors, these manikins must be more highly segmented and have a faster response than thermal protective garment manikins. As well, this manikin is excellent for the insulation evaluation of all types of clothing assembles, in air and wind conditions, giving both sectional and overall values of insulation.
